Overview: The KCPR Sports Manager oversees sports talk shows, Saddle Up Sports and The Gallop podcast. They will act as a liaison between KCPR and the Sports team, mainly communicating with the Sports Copy Editor, Sports Video Editor and Sports Social Media Manager. They will serve as a liaison for sports between Mustang News and KCPR Teams. They will report to the Sports Content Director, Podcast Director and KCPR News Director. This role focuses on growing sports on-air, primarily working with audio versions of coverage. 

• Lead and oversee the production of Saddle Up Sports, managing content, scheduling, and coordination with contributors.
• Work closely with the Podcast Director to produce The Gallop podcast, ensuring engaging and timely coverage of Cal Poly Athletics.
• Collaborate with the KCPR Social Media Manager and Sports Social Media Manager to coordinate post-production and promotional efforts for sports-related on-air content.
• Edits audio and written versions of sports wraps produced by KCPR News Team
• Ensure editorial quality by working with the Sports Copy Editor to maintain accuracy and credibility in sports reporting.
• Strategize and develop innovative ways to expand KCPR’s sports audio coverage, including live game coverage or special segments.
• Monitor listener engagement and adapt content strategy based on audience feedback and analytics.
