Overview:

For this position, we’re looking for someone with a passion for the local music and arts scene in San Luis Obispo who has demonstrated an ability to capture its essence through photography and videography. In this position, you will lead a team of KCPR photographers and videographers to maintain a steady output of visual content to assist the needs of other teams and support the brand of the station.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of KCPR’s content and brand
• A thorough understanding of operating a camera 
• Capable of using photo and video editing softwares (Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Da Vinci, Final Cut, etc.) to create compelling imagery
• A portfolio that demonstrates proficiency in photo and video work
• An understanding of serving as an effective leader

Responsibilities: 

• Leading and offering guidance to a team of photographers and videographers 
• Delegating assignments to the team 
• Contributing to content creation
• Coordinating and directing photo/video shoots
• Attending weekly meetings to check in with station members and managers 
• Maintaining steady communications with managers to plan for collaborations
