Overview:
KCPR photographers and videographers are tasked with giving a visual representation to the arts and culture of San Luis Obispo and the brand of the station through well-crafted imagery. This work often involves collaboration across the station with the content, news, podcast, production and marketing teams. The content created by our photographers and videographers — live band performances, event recaps and short video reels — is shared via our social media channels, our website, and anywhere else we may reach our audience. Proficiency in either photography and videography is required. Having a thorough understanding of both mediums is preferred, but not required.
Requirements:
- A thorough knowledge of how to operate a camera.
- Adequate experience with photo/video editing software (Photoshop, Lightroom, Da Vinci, Final Cut Premiere Pro, etc.)
- A portfolio that demonstrates proficiency in photo/video work
Role Responsibilities
- Attending events to capture images/raw footage for KCPR projects
- Editing photos/footage into visually compelling imagery that serve the KCPR brand
- Ability to work and communicate with a team
- Capable of meeting timely deadlines
- Attending weekly meetings to collaborate with other photo/video team members
